Salt Creek Watershed

The Salt Creek watershed is located in McLean, Mason, Piatt, Macon, Menard, DeWitt, and Tazewell Counties.  It is approximately 1,182,422 acres or 1870 square miles.    Today the watershed currently faces problems related to point source pollution, agricultural runoff consisting of suspended solids and pesticides, and erosion.
